About Dr. Tom Dooley
Welcome to The Dr. Tom Dooley Society, an organization for the medical alumni of Notre Dame, dedicated to education, mentorship and global service to humanity. Physicians, dentists, licensed medical practitioners, and other members of the Notre Dame community now have a unique way to interact with the University, and with each other, using the perspective of their shared professional backgrounds and experiences.  There are now over 2000 members serving the Notre Dame family.

The Dooley Society is proudly affiliated with the Notre Dame Alumni Association.

Thomas May Professorship in Neurology/ALS at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences on March 3, 2010. Dr. Rudnicki, a nationally known expert in ALS, led the development of the MDA/ALS Research and Clinical Center at UAMS, which was certified by the Muscular Dystrophy Association in 2004.
The Dooley Society honors at-large board member, Dr. Ralph Pennino ’75, with its annual Founder’s Award for his work with InterVol, a non-profit organization which recovers and redistributes medical supplies and equipment and provides medical and educational support for other countries in need.  Before and after the 2010 earthquake, Dr. Pennino helped extensively with ND’s Haiti Project. He will be presented with his award at the Emil T.
